The Offal Truck

is twisting
through the streets with  its 
smell of acid and hot piss
flooding the traffic and its
heaving  back   of   red   jellies
and custards split
open to the sky.

Last Tuesday
one   was    overfilled    and
spilled slime onto
peoples’  trainers   and  a  boy
was  seen  clutching  at  the
lumps of a sheep  carcass
thinking it was a toy.
